There are five golf courses to explore in the region.

18-hole golf course
A golf gem, beautifully situated on the sunny plateau south-west of Westendorf. The 18 holes (par 72) are spread over a total length of 5,920 metres. The course is the newest in the region. The holes are flat and easily accessible, but also challenging: if you play imprecisely on the beautiful but narrow fairways, you better have packed enough balls. The terrace of the clubhouse features a stunning panoramic view of the 18th hole and the Hohe Salve peak opposite.

18-hole golf course
For all types of golfers, with varied fairways, challenging water features and a magnificent panorama. PGA tour venue. It starts with an almost 500 metre opening hole. This is followed by the most difficult hole on the course: par 4, 414 metres. The particularly impressive par 3, number 16 (the ‘Mousetrap’) has to be played over a small ravine.

18-hole golf course
There are only a few golf courses in Europe that can match the attractive ambience of the Eichenheim golf course. Nestled in the mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, between rock faces and deciduous forests, the course was designed as a par 71 layout with 6,092 metres by renowned designer Kyle Phillips and built in 2000. Expanded in 2023, the Eichenheim golf course now also has a modern driving range with golf simulators, covered tee boxes, pitching area and putting practice green. There is a golf school in the service building above the training area.

18-hole golf course
Lush greens, flat terrain, rustic hay barns, a few ponds and a small stream – and set against the backdrop of the Hohe Tauern National Park mountains. That, in a nutshell, is the 18-hole, par-70 Mittersill golf course, opened in 1999.

Austria’s most beautiful 9-hole golf course
The GC Kitzbühel offers 30 hectares of tranquil parkland in the centre of the historic town of Kitzbühel. Experience architecturally unrivalled water features and an old stock of trees. The club has the most single handicappers in Austria.

Golf in the Kitzbühel Alps certainly leaves nothing to be desired. Benefit from the ideal, central location and the wonderful 4-star accommodation at AlpenParks Taxacher Hotel & Apartment and head for the most beautiful greens in the region.
