You can start off on lots of adventures, such as fantastically beautiful hiking and mountain tours right from your holiday lodge, or you can get to other adventures in just a few minutes – such as a challenging day in the Outdoor park with its climbing centre and numerous courses, very close to your holiday lodge, or have a game of Golf in the wonderful atmosphere of the Salzkammergut.
The lodges are designed precisely for your active holiday, no matter what activity you have chosen to partake in. You have your own, lockable storage room for all your sports equipment, from mountain bikes, to prams and skis in the winter.

The village Altaussee
Altaussee: a vision of green meadows and forests, towering bright summits, which are lit up in the sun and the crystal-clear mysterious lake, in which as well as the numerous fish, some mermaids may be splashing about. In contrast, in the winter a magical landscape of ice and snow awaits, with clean winter air and superb winter sports opportunities.
In Altaussee tradition lives on - the traditional Altaussee costume, the ‘Dirndl’ is still worn today in lots of cheery, bright colours – a modern twist. Fishermen and miners have been a part of life in Altausee for centuries, and the numerous artists too, who are inspired by the lake and the mountains.

In summer as in winter, the vacation motto is: Up into the mountains! The view of the Ausseerland from the Loser is simply breathtaking. In the distance, King Dachstein greets you and the peaks of the Großvenediger, covered by glaciers, shine in the sunlight. Hiking, mountaineering, climbing, swimming, mountain biking, Nordic walking and much more make the summer vacation in Altaussee an active vacation.
Numerous festivals and lively customs characterize the vacation region Ausseerland-Salzkammergut around Lake Altaussee. Authentic folk music is part of everyday life here. Many young musicians develop "their" folk music in an entertaining way completely new.
Especially well known is the Narcissus Festival in Altaussee. It always takes place in May.
