Those seeking even more comfort can treat themselves to a chalet with its own sauna or hot tub—a little time out for parents once the children are asleep.
Car-free chalet village—safety for the little ones
The entire Alpendorf is a car-free zone. Parents can relax while children play carefree around the house, in the garden, and between the chalets. The paths are only used by other families, hikers, and cyclists—no through traffic, no worries.
Family and Baby Kit: everything you need for the little ones
So you don’t have to lug half your household along, you can reserve your baby gear before arrival. For a small fee, the following items are available at the front desk:

Directions, Parking & Dogs
- Parking in the Car-Free Chalet Village
Even though the village itself is car-free, you don’t have to park your car far away: Parking spaces for our guests are available right at the entrance to Hagan Lodge—one parking space per chalet is included in the price. You may drive right up to the chalet to load and unload strollers, ski gear, and luggage; after that, park your car in the lot and let the vacation begin. EV charging stations are available. - Vacationing with a Dog
Your family dog is very welcome here. One dog is allowed per chalet for a fee of €25 per night. Countless hiking trails lead directly into the woods and meadows around the chalet village—ideal for long walks. Lake Altaussee also offers dog-friendly sections of the shore for splashing around. Any damage or special cleaning costs caused by dogs in the lodges will be billed to the owners.

Mountaincart on the Loser
A Mountaincart is a low-slung, three-wheeled go-kart designed for the mountains—complete with handlebars, a comfortable seat, and hydraulic disc brakes that let you control your speed at all times. New for summer 2026, the Panoramabahn at Loser Legends takes you up the Loser, and you’ll roll back down nine kilometers of asphalt through fourteen hairpin turns back into the valley. You’ll be driving on a dedicated road, not off-road: no mud, no slipping—just pure driving fun. - Hiking with Children at Lake Altaussee
The Lake Altaussee Loop Trail is about 7.5 km long, flat, well-marked, and mostly accessible even with a stroller.
