Beginners start with the Liftride & Bike-Tour at the Karbachbahn cable car in Mühlbach. This 20-kilometre route combines sporty thrills with leisurely moments on the lift. Seasoned bikers should give the Hochkeil loop a try. From the centre of Mühlbach, the tour takes you high up into the mountains and back down into the valley.
The Königstour as the highlight of your mountain bike holiday
The highlight of every mountain bike holiday on Hochkönig is the Königstour. Four stages lead you across picturesque mountain passes, through fairytale-like forests, and to cosy Alpine huts where you can take a break. And the best part: Your luggage will always be transported to the overnight destination that you are headed for. That’s possible thanks to a special luggage delivery service. E-bikes are taking over the mountain world, and the Hochkönig region has certainly responded to this trend in a very timely manner: It’s the world’s first region to have an e-bike charging station network both in the valley and in the mountains. At the 20 charging stations, all standard e-bike systems can be charged – whether it’s at Arthurhaus in Mühlbach, at Café-Konditorei-Bäckerei Bauer or at Karbachalm. Special e-mtb routes ensure that you won't run out of breath or batteries on your way to the summit. One of the most spectacular routes boasting magnificent views is the II-Tour, a scenic route between Maria Alm, Dienten, and Mühlbach.

Action and thrill on the flow trails
Passionate mountain bikers who are looking for a special thrill will find it on the "Flow One" flow trail in Maria Alm. Three kilometres of forest and meadow trails, 352 metres of elevation loss and lots of riding fun await you. The starting point is at the new Natrunbahn mountain station.
The Hochkönig-Dienten flow trail at Bürglalm, on the other hand, covers 4.2 kilometres and is suitable for the whole family. Numerous obstacles and challenges, such as banked turns or jumps, must be mastered.
The Hochkönig Skill Area, also located at Bürglalm, offers the perfect environment to improve your technique and learn new skills. Bridges, a downhill area, a rock garden, and a pump track are only a few of the highlights.
