Sunbikers at the Bikehotel Sonnleiten - under this motto, the Sonnleiten uncompromisingly lives the passion for biking of us and our employees. The Hotel & Apartment Sonnleiten is located right in the center of the Bikecircus Saalbach, directly on the Monti Trail and at the "Learn to ride Park" on the Kohlmais.

What is a Sunbiker?
Sunbikers are ALL those who combine motion with lifestyle during their holiday in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Sunbikers experience the mountain world with lots of fun and the best equipment possible.
Whether it’s the first trial runs on an e-mountain bike or a pro camp for downhillers: Rookies, kids and beginners are just as welcome here with us as pros and those striving to go pro. That creates the best conditions for a perfect holiday for the entire family and friends. Freeride Rookie Days
Guiding for level 1
Weekly from 29.05.2025 to 14.09.2025
Content: Basic behavior & position on the bike in the terrain, braking and cornering technique
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours - from 11.00 am to 1.30 pm
Course days: Monday & Wednesday.
Only with pre-registration until 17.00 the evening before. Other days on request - from 3 persons
Costs: € 98,- per person
Included services: Course fee, rental bike, safety set
(€ 49,- per person without rental bike)
E-Bike Rookie Days
Guiding for level 1
Weekly from 29.05.2025 to 14.09.2025
Content: Basic behavior & position on the e-bike off-road, step selection cadence, braking and cornering technique
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours - from 11.00 am to 1.30 pm
Course days: Monday & Wednesday.
Only with pre-registration until 17.00 the evening before. Other days on request - from 3 persons

Included services: Course fee, rental bike, safety set

SUNBIKERS - competence and experience in bike sports
Already in the 80's Dino Gerns discovered the fun of mountain biking. More "uphill" - downhill tracks didn't exist yet and e-mountain bikes even less. But the joy of this sport was undiminished, the bike community - or as it was called back then, the “Radlnarrischen” - was small but passionate. It was only logical that Dino and a few "Narrische" would come up with the idea of organizing events like a 24-hour MTB marathon race.
Over the years, the bike industry became more mature, more professional and more and more people were inspired by this sport with so many variations and possibilities. In the mid-90s there were already the first rental bikes in Sonnleiten. This was followed by the most important equipment such as a washing station, air station, garage and much more.
With Dino's sons Lukas and Florian, two more bike enthusiasts grew up. Shortly after "learning to walk", both of them were already sitting on their bikes - preferably downhill. And that's what brought them to downhill racing. From the Rookies Cup to Junior World Cup races, the three were - as Sunbikers Team - on the road all over Europe until 2016. Since the founding of SUNBIKERS in 2011, they have been passing on their knowledge to bike enthusiasts and - the next generation with professional courses and camps such as "Kids on bikes". With professional courses and camps - "Kids on bikes" , Race Trainings or Rookies courses.
