The Gschwandtkopf is one of the most versatile mountains in Tyrol. It also offers excellent conditions for ski tours. Beginners in particular appreciate the mountain as it surprises with a wonderful round view across the Seefeld plateau from its summit despite the low altitude.
The ski mountaineer nights to the Rosshütte are a special highlight. Usually, the slopes are closed for ski mountaineers daily from 4.30 pm due to preparation works. Fridays from 6 to 10 pm, however, the ascent to the Rosshütte can be tackled via the slope. After some strengthening at the mountain restaurant Rosshütte, it’s back to the valley station on the family slope.

Another bonus are the perfect conditions. The high altitude of the Seefeld plateau promises snow reliability throughout the entire winter. At the same time, the danger of avalanches is comparatively low in the open terrain. (Please mind the avalanche warnings on the panoramic boards of the lift stations!)
