Why choose a chalet with a private sauna in Seefeld?

Seefeld is situated at an elevation of 1,180 meters on the sun-drenched high plateau in the heart of the Seefeld region—Tyrol’s high plateau. The region connects the five towns of Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern, Reith, and Scharnitz and is a favorite destination as an active region in every season: around 245 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails in winter, five ski areas with the Happy Ski Card, a dense network of hiking trails in summer, mountain bike tours, an 18-hole golf course, and the nearby Karwendel Mountains.

Anyone vacationing here is on the move—and that’s exactly why the sauna at the chalet is so valuable. It’s available exactly when your muscles crave warmth: after a day of skiing, after a mountain hike, after a bike ride—not just when a public wellness area opens.

A sauna that’s ready exactly when you need it. Sweating it out with your partner without anyone else entering the room. An infrared session in the morning before setting off on a hike. All of this is only possible in a chalet with its own sauna or infrared cabin.

Apartments with infrared saunas

Six additional apartments feature an infrared cabin. The gentle heat from infrared rays is easier on the circulatory system than that of a traditional sauna; the warm-up time is often only 10–15 minutes, and the effect on tense muscles is noticeable.

A particularly pleasant way to relax after an active day—even for guests who find hot saunas too intense.

Sauna or infrared cabin—which one is right for you?

Both options have their merits. The right choice depends on what you’re looking for:

The classic sauna is right for you if …

  • You enjoy the traditional sauna experience with high temperatures (80–90 °C)
  • You prefer deep, cleansing sweating
  • multiple sauna sessions with cooling-off periods are part of your wellness ritual
  • you want to strengthen your immune system with classic sauna sessions

The infrared cabin is right for you if …

  • you value gentle heat that is easy on the circulatory system
  • you want to specifically relax tense muscles—for example, after skiing, hiking, or biking
  •  You have little time for a long wellness ritual
  • Higher temperatures, such as those in a classic sauna, tend to be too much for you

Both options can also be combined with our public sauna area, which is open to all hotel guests daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at no charge. Learn more on our wellness overview page.

Located right next to the Geigenbühel lift

The AlpenParks Alpina Seefeld is located at Geigenbühelstraße 125—just a few steps from the Geigenbühellift, the family-friendly ski lift near the center of Seefeld. In winter, that means stepping out of the chalet in the morning, hopping on your skis, and heading straight to your own sauna in the afternoon. It’s a combination that no other resort in Seefeld offers.

You can easily reach the region’s larger ski areas—Rosshütte and Gschwandtkopf—via the free ski bus (guest card = ticket). In summer, hiking and biking tours also start right outside the door.
