You can of course start your hike from your AlpenParks Residence Bad Hofgastein. Numerous hiking trails in the valley tempt you to take leisurely strolls, some along Gastein’s River Ache. If you want to breathe in some mountain air, save yourself the demanding ascent and get to the scenic mountain paths in comfort with Gasteiner Bergbahnen.

From June to October the Schlossalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein will transport you up to over 2000 metres sea level. Start your hike at the mountain station – accompanied by the mesmerizing panorama of the Gastein Alps. Hiking in Gastein Valley and in the mountains of the Salzburg Alps is a very special scenic holiday pleasure. The evening is dedicated to well-being – by the fireside, in one of the two Gastein thermal springs or at a stylish dinner in one of numerous restaurants in Gastein.
