You are just a few minutes' walk from the Schlossalmbahn cable car, which takes you directly to the largest ski area in Gastein – the perfect base camp for a family skiing vacation in the Salzburg region.
Skigastein – the snow paradise for families
Gastein is one of the most popular family ski resorts in Ski amadé. Children and parents alike feel at home on a total of 56 kilometers of blue slopes. Two of the four ski resorts – Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel and Dorfgastein-Großarltal – are particularly family-friendly and offer perfect conditions for young beginners.
The largest of the three Gasti snow parks awaits visitors at the Angertal ski center. Six conveyor belts, practice lifts, a mini fun slope, a mini ski movie track, and a large winter playground provide learning fun and adventure on over 10,000 square meters of snow. There is also a ski school and ski rental on site.
Ski schools & childcare for children
From the age of three, the little ones are lovingly cared for in the Gastein ski kindergartens. The first ski lessons start at the age of four – playful, safe, and professionally supervised. The trained ski instructors teach the kids how to ski with fun and patience, while their parents explore the slopes or relax on the sun terrace.
Action, games, and fun in the snow
For teens and adventure seekers, the Kids Park in Angertal and the Fun Center on Stubnerkogel at 2,200 meters offer plenty of variety. Whether it's wave tracks, mini fun slopes, or snowball fights with new friends—there's no chance of boredom here.
And after so much action? Off to the Alpentherme Gastein! The warm thermal water and the spacious “Family World” with slides, adventure pools, and relaxation areas are the perfect way to end an eventful winter day.

From the beginning of July, sporting, musical, educational and nature-related activities offer exciting variety every day from Monday to Saturday - all included with the Gastein Card. Enjoy valuable time together!
