Glacier feeling on Kaprun’s Kitzsteinhorn

Salzburg’s famous glacier, the Kitzsteinhorn, offers extraordinary skiing experiences from autumn until early summer. Enjoy 41 kilometres of perfectly groomed high-alpine slopes as well as 19 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts taking you up to 3,029 metres.

Leisure skiing on the Schmitten in Zell am See

Only a stone’s throw from the Kitzsteinhorn, the Schmitten with its 77 kilometres of slopes is a great choice for families. The landmark mountain of the Pinzgau region offers something for all tastes and skill levels.

Have you heard of the Trass descent? Located on the Schmitten, it is the longest black run of the entire Salzburger Land region. With its 70 % gradient, the thrilling ski run starting from the summit of the Schmitten is not for the faint of heart!

The Schmitten Funslope isn’t called an XXL slope for no reason. After all, its length of 1,300 metres makes it the longest in the world!

If you’re hungry after an exciting day on the slopes, more than 20 cosy mountain huts and bars are perfect places to recharge your batteries.

The region of Zell am See-Kaprun boasts numerous ski schools. For instance, Zell am See Ski School offers various lessons to polish your technique, with individual courses for children, teenagers and adults taking place up on the Schmitten.

There are also great group lessons, private lessons, guided tours and more on the Kitzsteinhorn – all of them including state-of-the-art rental equipment.


Family ski holidays in Maria Alm am Hochkönig

With 120 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, the ski region of Maria Alm – Dienten – Mühlbach is a paradise for all snow lovers. In addition to numerous red and blue slopes, the resort also offers 19 kilometres of black runs as well as a snow park.

The highlight of the ski resort? The Königstour (“King’s Tour”) with 6,700 metres altitude difference, 32 kilometres of slopes and five summits in one day!
