Snowshoeing from Arthurhaus to Hochkeil

The starting point for the snowshoe hike is the Arthurhaus in Mühlbach am Hochkönig. There are plenty of parking spaces here (for a fee). At the Mahdlift you start uphill towards Hochkeil (well signposted path). After a good 1 hour ascent and 285 meters of altitude difference, the wonderful panorama of the Hochkeil (1,782 m) awaits. From the summit of the Hochkeil you can enjoy a comprehensive panoramic view of the Hohe- Niedere Tauern, Dachstein, Tennengebirge and the Hochkönig with the Mandlwänden. You then return along the same route.
