- Reedsee
It is and remains one of the most beautiful places in SalzburgerLand: Reedsee in the Gastein Valley. Take the car to Bad Gastein and continue into the Kötschachtal valley to the parking lot at the old Grüner Baum Hotel. First you walk along a forest road until the path branches off to the right into the forest. The path now winds steeply through the forest until you reach the Reedsee lake at 1,842m. - Weißsee in the Uttendorf glacier world
From Enzingerboden in the Stubachtal valley, take the cable car up to the Berghotel Rudolfshütte. Here you will find the turquoise-blue Weißsee at an altitude of approx. 2,300 meters. Plattachsee lake in Mittersill
In the Felbertal valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park, you can drive to the crystal-clear Hintersee lake at 1,313m. Then walk left along the side of the lake, past the Gamsblick snack station and on into the valley. The hiking trail soon leads steeply up to the left. There are also a few places with wire ropes and a ladder to conquer! After a good 2.5 hours, you have reached the magnificent Plattachsee mountain lake at 2,199m. Tappenkarsee in Kleinarl
This excursion destination also offers the opportunity to discover two breathtaking lakes. You start at the Jägersee lake in Kleinarl (you could also continue by car to the Schwabalm parking lot, which is subject to a toll). You pass the emerald-green Jägersee and head towards the Schwabalm. From here, the hiking trail winds its way up the mountain. You also pass a magnificent waterfall. After a good 560 meters in altitude, you reach the Tappenkarsee lake at 1,762m. From Tappenkarsee, you can set off on numerous other summit tours. -
Seehornsee
Our 5th mountain lake is located in the Weißbach bei Lofer Nature Park. The mountaineering village of Weißbach is located in the Saalachtal valley between Saalfelden and Lofer. Take the hiking cab from the Weißbach tourist office to the Kalbrunnalm. From here, follow the hiking signs in the direction of Seehornsee. The trail leads through a beautiful pine forest up to the green Seehornsee lake at 1,779 m. Here you have the option of continuing your hike to the Seehorn summit.
