The perfect fall day at AlpenParks Hotel Sonnleiten

The perfect day starts at AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Sonnleiten in Saalbach with a hearty breakfast in the hotel's own restaurant. Fresh coffee and tea, delicious juices, fresh bread and pastries, sausage and cheese specialties, jams and fruit, various types of muesli with yoghurt, boiled eggs or delicious smoothies - there really is something for everyone here.

After breakfast, pack your rucksack and head off by car towards the end of the Hinterglemm valley. You can leave your car at the free parking lot in Lengau. After the barrier, the path leads along to the right and after a few meters you can already see the hiking signs towards Spieleckkogel. At the beginning, you walk along a beautiful forest road until the path branches off into a sparse high forest. At the end, the trail leads up over beautiful alpine pastures to the Spieleckkogel summit cross at 1,998m. Walking time to the Spieleckkogel approx. 2 - 2.5 hours (approx. 826 vertical meters). If you want to extend the tour, you can hike further to the left over the ridge to the Sonnspitz summit at 2,062m. (Sure-footedness and a head for heights required!) From the Sonnspitz you then hike back to the Lengau parking lot via the Henlabjoch. You should allow 5-6 hours for the whole tour.

After a long hike in the mountains, a little relaxation will do you the world of good. The heated outdoor pool and the private saunas promise just that - welcome relaxation revives tired spirits and recharges exhausted batteries.

The hotel's own Troadkastn restaurant is the perfect place for dinner. The menu includes various salads and soups, classic dishes such as Wiener schnitzel, fresh fish dishes and delicious homemade tarte flambée. The perfect end to a successful day in Saalbach.

Not to forget: In summer, the JOKER Card is included in the price from mid-May to mid-October. It gives you free use of up to 8 cable cars and access to the region's most popular attractions.
