Summer with kids in Sölden
Summer in the Ötztal is one of the most diverse seasons in all of Tyrol for families. The valley offers activities for all ages—from toddlers to teenagers—and many of them are accessible at no extra charge with the Ötztal Summer Card.
- AREA 47 – Austria’s largest outdoor adventure park
Located about 40 minutes from the hotel, AREA 47 features 20,000 m² of water fun, Europe’s fastest water slide (up to 80 km/h), a wakeboarding facility, and an indoor bike park. With the Ötztal Summer Card, each card includes one admission to the Water Area and a one-hour ticket for the Wake Area. Ideal for families with children ages 6 and up. - Widiversum Hochoetz – Adventure Land at 2,020 m
The Widiversum in Hochoetz is one of the most popular family destinations in the Ötztal: a 3,000 m² adventure park at the top station of the Acherkogelbahn featuring 36 play and puzzle stations. Children help WIDI the mountain sheep search for the magic crystal—and are rewarded at the end. The 5D cinema “WIDI’s Movieshuttle” rounds out the mountain adventure. Stroller-friendly, accessible via elevator. Perfect for children ages 3 to 10. -
AQUA DOME Längenfeld – Family Spa in the Ötztal Valley
Just about 20 minutes from the hotel: the AQUA DOME, featuring 12 indoor and outdoor pools, a water slide, a children’s pool, and 50,000 m² of wellness facilities. With the Summer Card, you get 2 free admissions per card in June, September, and October; in July and August, you receive a 15% discount. Also ideal in bad weather. -

Winter with kids in Sölden
Sölden is one of the few ski resorts in Austria that guarantees snow from November through April and offers glacier skiing well into October. Families benefit from the resort’s location right next to the Gaislachkoglbahn—you can get from your apartment to the slopes in less than 5 minutes.

At what age is Sölden suitable for children in the summer?
Sölden is perfect for children of all ages. Toddlers ages 2 and up will enjoy alpine hiking trails, swimming lakes, and the Widiversum (stroller-friendly). Starting around age 6, they can also enjoy AREA 47, via ferrata routes, and rafting. Teenagers will find their ideal terrain at Bike Republic Sölden and on the glacier slopes.
Do the apartments have amenities for children?
A crib and high chair are available upon request—please specify this when booking. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens, which are also ideal for preparing meals for toddlers.
Is the Summer Card free for children as well?
Yes. The Ötztal Summer Card is issued to every guest—including children. It gives you access to the same amenities as adults: mountain railways, buses, AREA 47, swimming pools, and much more.
How far is the Gaislachkoglbahn from the hotel?
The base station is about 250 meters from the hotel—a 3-minute walk. In the summer, you can ride for free with the Summer Card; in the winter, the ski area is directly accessible.
Is the pool open to children?
Yes. The outdoor and indoor pools are open to families. The sauna area is for adults only (ages 16 and up).
