The Salzburg winter sport centre of Gastein is continually expanding what it has to offer and in winter Gastein thermal springs present a very special combination of fun in the snow and blissful wellness.

Skiing and snowboarding in the Austrian Alps

With 4 ski centres (Dorfgastein-Großarl, Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogen, Graukogel, Sportgastein) Gastein Valley offers a cleverly devised mix for skiers and snowboarders of all age groups, with pistes to suit every ability.

Angertal ski centre, redesigned in 2004, is a winter sport centre which is worthy of note for families with children. Sportgastein scores points due to its location at altitude and its new snow-making facilities, which means it is snow-assured from November right through until late spring. Whatever ski area you plump for, the free Gastein Valley ski bus will take you quickly and safely to all the starting points for a wonderful day of skiing!
