So that you can enjoy your vacation in Kirchberg in Tyrol together with your four-legged family member, we warmly welcome dogs in select apartments and studios at the AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Taxacher. Located in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, the hotel is an ideal starting point for long walks and hikes with your dog—the trails begin right outside the front door. To ensure that all guests—with or without pets—enjoy a relaxing getaway, we ask that you follow our guidelines.
Registration & Rules
In order for us to plan optimally and ensure that allergy-friendly apartments remain protected, it is essential that you register your dog in advance of arrival.
Please note:
- Pets must be registered before arrival (mandatory).
- The presence of pets will be checked during your stay.
- Pets are not allowed in some apartments (allergy-friendly apartments).
Prices and conditions:
- Price per dog per night: €28.00
- A maximum of 2 dogs per apartment
- Damage or necessary special cleaning will be charged.
- If a dog is not registered, we will charge: the regular dog price per night + €150.00 cleaning & administration fee.

To ensure that all guests have a pleasant stay, we ask that you observe the following rules:

- Dog owners are required to dispose of their dog's waste.
The following applies in your apartment:
- Dogs must be kept away from beds and sofas.
- Failure to comply will result in an additional cleaning fee of at least €150.00.
- Included in the dog fee: food /water bowls & dog bed (no food).

Kirchberg in Tirol and the Brixental Valley offer numerous walking trails, forest paths, and hiking routes that are perfect for exploring with your dog. Many of them start right at the AlpenParks Taxacher and lead through forests, across alpine meadows, and along streams.
Popular tips for your dog-friendly vacation in the Kitzbühel Alps:
- Spertental: Easy trails through the nature reserve, past the waterfall and the Falkenstein rock—with cool streams for your dog to splash in.
- Toward Spießnägel from Aschau: A scenic hike through alpine meadows and forests (about 8 km from Kirchberg)—a summer classic for active four-legged friends.
- Schwarzsee near Kitzbühel: A popular swimming lake in the area where dogs can cool off (please observe the designated swimming areas and local rules).
⚠️ Important in alpine pasture areas: Special caution is required in pasture areas with cows. Please keep your dog on a leash at all times and observe the signs.
