Our tip: Start your hike right from the hotel
One of the highlights at Sonnleiten: You can start your hike directly from the property – no car needed.
Our personal recommendation:
Sonnleiten Dog Trail: A shaded forest path leads towards the Spielberghaus, continues via the Wirtsalm, and returns through the forest towards the Maisalm.
Duration & options:
- Full loop: approx. 2–2.5 hours
- To Spielberghaus: approx. 1 hour
- To Maisalm: approx. 45 minutes
The trail is shaded, varied, and ideal for dogs – even on warm days.

Please note:
- Dogs are allowed only in our apartments (not in double rooms).
- Fee: € 25 per day (food not included).
- Only dogs are permitted as pets in our property.

Dogs are allowed at breakfast and dinner, provided they:
- are kept on a leash
- lie quietly under the table
- do not sit on the chairs

Rules & Responsibility
For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask you to observe the following:
- Dogs must be house-trained; beds and sofas are off-limits.
- Owners are liable for any damage or cleaning required.
- A dog liability insurance is mandatory.
- Pool and garden areas are for human guests only.
- Leashes are required throughout the property.
- Please walk your dog outside the hotel grounds.
- New Year’s Eve: Sensitive dogs should not be left alone in the apartment.
- Note: Cable cars and public transport are not included in the Summer Joker Card.
