Lobbybereich im Hotel Montana Matrei
A cosy nest in winter or a cool retreat in summer –Hotel & Apartment Montana Matrei can do both. As the ideal starting point for all sorts of adventures around the Grossglockner, this is where explorers meet connoisseurs and summiteers meet pace-setters. Whichever category you belong to – there’s plenty to experience and see in East Tyrol. Discover idyllic valleys and steep hills in the Grossglockner Resort ski and hiking region. You will also need your hiking boots for the Virgental. Then there’s the entrance to the Iseltrail. Right outside the door. Real culinary delights in between. Rustic Tyrol combined with the Mediterranean lightness of the south. A cosy cordiality that opens up to modern life. And the charming relaxed feel of the village of Matrei itself. An alpine serenity that consciously takes a step back to make space. For you. And your adventures. Nowhere is it easier to follow the call of the mountains. And nowhere is it easier to hear your heart beat as loudly as it can. Out of joy. And out of bliss.
In summer, the AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Montana Matrei at Hohe Tauern National Park is the ideal starting point for nature athletes, hikers and outdoor aficionados. The outdoor paradise East Tyrol offers lots of activities in the mountains, in the valley and on the water. With its proximity to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Felbertauern plus many more day trips through the Southern Alps, South Tyrol and Friuli, the region is also ideal for motorcyclists.
