Seefeld as the ideal destination for your climbing holiday

Upward in dizzying heights, along rocky rims, across steep walls. Climbing is a fascinating sport – and it has enjoyed nearly 100 years’ worth of tradition in Seefeld. It’s just as astonishing that the fixed rope routes in the Karwendelgebirge and Wettersteingebirge have remained an absolute insiders’ tip for a climbing holiday in Tyrol.

Climbing holiday for the entire family

The “Flämenwandl” at the Leutascher Ache is an experience for families. 20 climbing routes in varying difficulties ensure variety and come with many a challenge. The surroundings offer lots of space to play for smaller children and snug places for a neat picnic. Exhausted adventurers can take a break on the wooden seating positioned around the routes. And another suggestion: sausages grilled at the campfire in the evening are the ideal refreshment after an exciting day on the climbing wall.

Climbing Eldorado for pros

The Chinese Wall in Leutasch creates many a surprise with its impressive lines, overhangs, verticals and holes. Climbing here is really exciting and multifaceted. And the beautiful view of the Karwendel is the reward for many a challenge that is to be overcome.

Our tips for safe climbing in Seefeld

Outdoor climbing routes come with a risk of rockfall. Thus, a helmet is a must for all climbers. Always keep close to the wall (rolling rocks tend to bounce outward) and, very important, look out for your children if they are waiting for you beneath the climbing routes. Rockfall directly at the foot of the wall can cause severe injuries.
