Hike to the Reedsee lake in Gastein

The starting point of the hike is at the old Hotel Grüner Baum in Kötschachtal (Bad Gastein). There are numerous free parking spaces here. From here you walk along the flat forest road towards Prossau. After a good 15 minutes you reach the famous Himmelwandhütte, where you can enjoy delicious strudel in all variations. It's worth stopping by here after the hike!

After another 15 minutes, the path branches off to the right towards Reedsee and you have to cross a small bridge. Then it's a leisurely walk through the forest for a few more minutes until the hiking trail ascends and the hike begins. Now it's uphill over numerous stones and roots. After a total of 2-2.5 hours, you will have reached your destination, the Reedsee lake.

You then return the same way.
