Hike to the Moosalm-Adamhütte in Gries im Pinzgau
The hike starts at the large parking lot in Grieser Graben, just before the barrier. From the Hohenwarter bakery, follow the clearly visible signposts in the direction of the Moosalm parking lot. The forest path leading to the Moosalm-Adamhütte starts there. There are several opportunities to shorten the route along the way by taking the steep "Moosalmsteigerl". But that's not all - just before the alpine pasture, there is another turn-off to the fascinating "Ameisenweg" trail. This special educational and adventure trail gives us exciting insights into the important life of the local ants.
After a walk of around 1-1.5 hours, you reach the farmed Moosalm at 1,533m.
For those who still have enough energy and motivation, we recommend the further ascent to the Moosalmhöhe at 1,843m. There has been an impressive new summit cross there since October 2022. From the Moosalm, the path through the dense forest takes around 40-60 minutes and is quite steep. But the effort is well worth it, as you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains from the top of the Moosalm.
On the way back, don't miss out on a stop at the Moosalm-Adamhütte. The delicious Kasnockn dumplings with salad or a sumptuous Brettljause snack are highly recommended.
