Hike in the Ködnitz valley to the Figerhorn
We drive up the toll road Kalser Glocknerstraße and park directly at the Lucknerhaus parking lot. From here you have a magnificent view of Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner at 3,798 m.
The hike starts to the left of the Lucknerhaus via well-marked serpentines up to the Greiwiesen and the Greibühel 2,247 m. There is a nice bench here to rest. Here we turn right (N) and can already see the path to the Figerhorn. The route leads across mountain meadows and without detours towards the long ridge of the Figerhorn. At the end, the slope steepens considerably and we reach the south-west ridge in serpentines. Then it's over an easy ridge directly to the Figerhorn summit cross. An indescribable summit panorama awaits us at the top. An absolutely worthwhile and not difficult mountain tour!
