The Secret Sölden: the only resort with indoor and outdoor pools
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Austria where you can get in the water indoors and get out again outdoors—this is the place.
The indoor pool measures 70 m² and is heated to 33 °C, while the outdoor pool measures 90 m². Both are directly connected, offering panoramic views of the Ötztal Alps. In winter, that means you can swim from the indoor pool out into the open air, surrounded by snow. AlpenParks The Secret Sölden is a design hotel with apartments and suites for 2 to 8 people, located about 250 meters from the Gaislachkogl cable car. It also features a spa with a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam room, and ice fountain, a fitness room, and a peaceful garden area.
Important for families: The sauna area is for adults only (ages 16 and up). The pool area is open to all guests—so children are allowed to swim, but not in the sauna.
In the summer, the Ötztal Summer Card is included (valid in 2026: June 4 – October 4), which offers free access to mountain railways, buses, outdoor pools, and museums.

AlpenParks Arlberg: Infinity pool overlooking Warth-Schröcken
This is the image most people picture when they search for a “pool in the mountains”: the heated outdoor infinity pool at the AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Arlberg, whose water’s edge seems to disappear into the mountain landscape of Warth-Schröcken. The property also features a wellness area with a Finnish sauna, steam room, relaxation area, and a fitness center. The 32 vacation apartments accommodate 2 to 8 people, and the on-site restaurant, alp’s, serves modern Alpine cuisine and is also open to non-residents. The location is the second reason to book here: right on the slopes of Ski Arlberg—ski-in/ski-out in winter, and in summer, hiking trails, via ferrata routes, and bike trails in the Lechtal Alps start right outside the door.
Warth-Schröcken is considered one of the snowiest ski resorts in Europe. The contrast between steaming pool water and deep snow isn’t just a marketing gimmick here—it’s everyday life in January.
AlpenParks Taxacher Kirchberg
If the phrase “hotel with a pool” makes you think of a real indoor swimming pool—that is, swimming laps, not just splashing around—then the AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Taxacher in Kirchberg, Tyrol, is the perfect place for you.
The indoor pool is 15 meters long. The surrounding spa area is extensive:
- Finnish sauna (90 °C) and bio sauna (70 °C)
- Marble steam room and aromatic steam room
- Infrared sauna cabin
- Relaxation area with waterbeds and a reclining swing for two
- Fitness room with Technogym equipment
- Wellness bag with bathrobe & towel, tea, and snacks
All of this is included in the room rate. Spa treatments, massages, and beauty treatments can be booked for an additional fee; the day spa is also open to day guests.
The hotel is located in Kirchberg in Tirol, just a few kilometers from Kitzbühel. The Maierlbahn is 500 meters away, providing access to the KitzSki and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski areas. There are 10 hotel rooms and 50 apartments available, accommodating 2 to 8 people.

AlpenParks Alpendorf: Vacation apartment with pool in Ski amadé
The AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Alpendorf in St. Johann im Pongau is the answer to one of the most sought-after combinations of all: a vacation apartment with its own kitchen—and still a pool on the premises. The on-site wellness area features a heated indoor pool measuring 4.7 × 8.5 meters, a sauna, and a steam room. This is especially convenient when the weather in Pongau isn’t cooperating or the kids still have energy to burn after a day of skiing. The apartments range from 50 m² to a 5-bedroom penthouse accommodating up to 11 people, all with fully equipped kitchens. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can book the breakfast buffet as an add-on; it’s already included for double and multi-bed rooms.
The Gernkogelbahn and Almdorf Gondola are just a few minutes’ walk away—and with them, Ski amadé, Austria’s largest ski area with over 760 kilometers of slopes.
AlpenParks Sonnleiten Saalbach: Outdoor pool right on the slopes
Let’s be honest here, because otherwise you might be disappointed: The AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Sonnleiten doesn’t have a traditional spa area. What it does have is a year-round heated outdoor pool with a sunbathing lawn and a view across the entire Glemm Valley.
For many guests, that’s exactly what they’re looking for. The property is situated on a sunny hillside right next to the Kohlmais slope—offering ski-in/ski-out access to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, with over 270 kilometers of slopes. You ski right up to the door, take off your boots, and step into the warm water. In summer, the trails of the Bikecircus Saalbach start from the same spot.
For those who want a sauna: Many apartments have their own private sauna—sometimes a more relaxing option than a shared sauna area.
In addition, there’s the on-site Troadkastn restaurant with a breakfast buffet, à la carte menu, and bar; a children’s playroom; an in-house bike rental; and, in summer, the included JOKER CARD (covering up to 6 gondola lifts, the hiking bus, public transportation in Pinzgau, and free admission to the Saalbach outdoor adventure pool).

AlpenParks Rehrenberg Viehhofen: A family favorite
If you’re traveling with children and the pool is a top priority, this is the top choice in our portfolio. The spa area at the AlpenParks Apartment & Vacation Resort Rehrenberg is the only one designed exclusively for families:
- Heated outdoor pool
- Hot tub
- Children’s wading pool
- Sauna area with a bio sauna, sauna, and relaxation room
All around: a kids’ club with an indoor play area, game room, playground, and children’s entertainment in the summer. The apartments range from 45 m² to 105 m² and accommodate 2 to 10 people—enough space to ensure that a rainy day isn’t a problem.
The location is unique: Viehhofen is situated between two ski areas, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm and the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See. The zellamseeXpress mountain railway is just a few minutes’ walk away. In summer, the Viehhofen Summer Card is included.

AlpenParks Glemmrise Viehhofen: Premium apartments with pool access
The AlpenParks Residence Glemmrise is the premium neighbor of the Rehrenberg—the same location in Viehhofen, the same wellness area, a different living experience.
Amenities include an on-site spa area with saunas, as well as a heated outdoor pool, additional saunas, and a hot tub in the adjacent building.
The 4-star apartments range from 30 m² to 150 m² and accommodate 2 to 8 people; they are high-end and fully equipped with built-in kitchens. A breakfast buffet at the on-site “sunrise” bistro can be booked, and private cooking experiences are available. Here, too: the zellamseeXpress right outside the door, and the Viehhofen Summer Card is included during the summer.
