Walk around the Klammsee in Kaprun
A walk around the beautiful gorge lake is always worthwhile! There are various ways to get to the Klammsee reservoir.
Either you park your car at the Sigmund Thun Klamm parking lot and then hike through the Sigmund Thun Klamm (admission is free with the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard) and then take the circular route around the Klammsee. Another possibility would be to drive towards the Kitzsteinhorn, past the Jagawirt, and then 1 kilometer further on there is a parking lot on the right-hand side. From here, you can also hike to the gorge lake.
Tip: If you go up to the left at the Bürgsperre dam (coming from the Sigmund Thun Gorge), the "Bürgkoglsteig" has been open since summer 2018. From up there you have a fantastic view of the gorge lake and the village of Kaprun!
