Sunrise on the Tristkogel in Hinterglemm

If you want to experience the sunrise at the summit, you have to get up early, of course. But we can promise you one thing: it's worth it! We pack our headlamps and set off at 3 a.m. from AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Sonnleiten in the direction of Lindlingalm in Hinterglemm. There are some free parking spaces there.

We can already see the hiking signs to the right of the Lindlingalm. We now hike up the wide forest road in a few bends. Then we pass the Ossmannalm and soon the forest road ends and turns into a hiking trail. At the "Mittersaal" ditch, you have to cross a bridge and then continue across lush alpine meadows to the Saaljoch. Here you turn left towards the "Tristkogel". We can now switch off our headlamps as it is already getting very light and the sky is turning a beautiful dawn red.

At the foot of the Tristkogel, you have the option of taking the direct ascent (surefootedness and a head for heights required!) or the longer variant all the way around. We opt for the direct ascent and quickly reach the summit cross at 2,095m. We make ourselves comfortable, drink the coffee we've brought with us and enjoy the magnificent sunrise. This morning atmosphere on the mountain is simply wonderful!
