From May 2025, a vacation in Salzburg will be even more relaxed and sustainable: with the new Guest Mobility Ticket Salzburg, you can enjoy free travel on all public transport throughout the province of Salzburg.
What is the Guest Mobility Ticket?
The Guest Mobility Ticket is your ticket for buses and trains throughout the Salzburg region. It is automatically provided to guests from their first overnight stay in accommodation in Salzburg (either digitally on their smartphone or as a printout) and is valid for the entire duration of their stay, including the day of arrival and departure.
Which means of transport are included?
With the ticket, you can use all trains, post buses and the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn free of charge. The only exceptions are steam trains, special trains and night bus services.

Yes, dogs can also travel free of charge with the new Guest Mobility Ticket (one dog per person). Please note the transport rules of the respective transport company.
How does the transportation of bicycles work?
Bicycles can be taken on trains and on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn and Salzburger Lokalbahn for a fee. It is up to the driver to decide whether to take bicycles on board, and for organizational reasons a reservation is usually requested in advance.
