Sunrise on the Geierkogel in Viehhofen

The starting point for this tour is the cozy, serviced Hecherhütte in Viehhofen, which also has plenty of parking spaces. The hiking trail signs for the Geierkogel can be seen directly in front of the hut. Initially, the trail climbs steeply across the meadows until you reach the forest after an altitude difference of around 150 meters. The trail then leads alternately through the forest, across alpine meadows and finally to the summit of the Geierkogel.

But the best is yet to come: the experience of enjoying the breathtaking sunrise! It is simply impressive when the sun rises over the mountains and bathes the landscape in warm light. It's definitely worth getting up early for this.
