The most beautiful spring spots in Pinzgau

08.05.2023

Pinzgau in SalzburgerLand offers plenty of great places to discover nature. With spring comes the desire to hike - so here we show you a few of the most spectacular natural beauties and spots in spring. Tip: The AlpenParks Hotel & Residences offer the perfect starting point for the tours and excursions mentioned.

  • Hintersee in the Felbertal
A hike through the Schösswendklamm gorge to Hintersee is always worthwhile. The crocus meadows are in full bloom and turn the Felbertal into a wonderful flower meadow.
  • Schwalbenwand in Zell am See-Kaprun
After a long, snowy winter, it is often not so easy to find a hiking tour that is already accessible. The Schwalbenwand in Thumersbach is a well-known summit tour that can usually be hiked from the beginning of May. If you are up there at the right time, the alpine meadows will be in bloom with purple and white crocus flowers. Fantastically beautiful!
This hike starts from Berggasthof Mitterberg (there are numerous paid parking spaces available here)

  • Walk around Lake Zell
A leisurely walk around the crystal-clear Lake Zell is also particularly beautiful, and not just in spring. This colorful spring landscape around the Zell am See-Kaprun region can be really enjoyed in the fresh air during a walk.
The 11.5 km walk around Lake Zell takes a good 2 hours.

  • Blausee in the Obersulzbachtal valley
The Blausee lake in Neukirchen am Großvenediger is particularly popular with families. The lake is a 15-minute walk from the parking lot (near Gasthof Siggen). There are also toilets, barbecue areas, sun loungers and information boards about flora and fauna at the Energieplatz in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Right next to it is the glacier stream with safe places for children to play and run around.
