New panorama lift on the Loser from fall 2024
In fall 2024, the Loser Panoramabahn will make its maiden voyage, replacing the existing Loser-Jet 6-seater chairlift and the Loser 2 double chairlift. This new cable car connects the three main traffic points on the Loser: the Skiarena valley station, the intermediate station at the Augstalm parking lot (turn 11) and the Loser Alm parking lot at the mountain station.
The Loser Panoramabahn is equipped with large 10-seater cabins that are barrier-free. It offers recreational and adventure opportunities not only for skiers, but also for winter hikers, tobogganers and excursion guests in winter. It is a particular enrichment for children, as the mountain station is located directly at the start of a 7 km long blue family run. This creates ideal conditions for learning to ski safely.
In summer, the cable car becomes a flexible means of transportation along the panoramic road. This will make access to the Loser easier for guests who come to Ausseerland by public transport. The Loser, the Loserfenster and Lake Augstsee are popular excursion destinations that are now even easier to reach. Baby carriages, dogs and bicycles are also welcome.
An important aspect of the Loser Panoramabahn is its contribution to saving CO2. Over 50% of the energy required is generated in-house, which has a positive effect on the environment.
Good to know: Until the official opening at the beginning of September 2024, ascent and descent via the Loser Panoramastrasse is possible around the clock.
