3K K-onnection Mountainbike Tour

10.07.2023

The tour can either be started directly from the village center or you can choose the shortened version from the Maiskogel mountain station. In the shortened version, you take the cable car up to the mountain station at 1,570m.

Tip: Overnight guests of AlpenParks in Zell am See-Kaprun receive the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard free of charge on the day of arrival. This means that the ride on the MK Maiskogelbahn including (e)-mountain bike is free of charge.

From the mountain station, the trail leads downhill in a few bends to the Ederalm. From here, the trail continues uphill towards Langwied. There are always wonderful views of Zell am See. The well-maintained path leads through green alpine meadows, past the managed Salzburger Hütte, up to Langwiedboden at 1,970m. The trail then continues along numerous hairpin bends to the Alpincenter at 2,450m.

You have the option of returning the same route by mountain bike, or you can choose the more relaxed option and take the cable car down. Unfortunately, the ride on the 3-K K-onnection cable car is not included in the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard package, so an additional charge is required.

An alternative option is the free descent with the Gletscherjet 1+2, which is available with the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard.

Facts:

  • Altitude difference to Alpincenter: 1.147
  • Kilometers: 12.8 km
