3 lakes tour in Ausseerland

The starting point of the 3-lake tour is either at the Seehotel Grundlsee or in the center of the village at the pavilion. There are numerous paid parking spaces available. The ticket can be purchased directly at the landing stage or later on board. Now it's about 30 minutes by boat across the beautiful Grundlsee. Leave the boat in the village of Gößl and take a leisurely 20-minute walk to the mystical Toplitzsee. There are 4 different hiking trails available here (some also suitable for baby carriages).

At the Toplitzsee, the tour continues. On traditional wooden boats, so-called Plätten, the trip takes you past waterfalls across the Toplitzsee. At the end of the Toplitzsee, just a few minutes' walk away, is the Kammersee (source of the Traun).

After spending 20 minutes at the Kammersee, you then return on the Plätte, walk back to the Grundlsee and take the boat back to the starting point. All in all, you should allow 3-4 hours for the tour.

Good to know: Limited boat traffic in bad weather.
