3 Summit hike at the end of the Hinterglemm valley

05.06.2022

The starting point of the hike is the Lindlingalm at the head of the Glemmtal valley. From the parking lot in Lengau, you have the option of taking the slow train to the Lindlingalm, or you can hike for around 25 minutes on the right along the panoramic trail to the Alm.

Once you arrive at the Lindlingalm, turn left towards Teufelswasser (theme park with lots of play and wellness stations). Walk past the theme park into the valley until you reach the first hiking signs. The trail leads across alpine meadows, through the forest and past beautiful waterfalls. There are also some watercourses to cross here (good footwear required!). You soon reach a breathtakingly beautiful alpine plateau (Pfandeben). Here you hike up to the left towards Schusterscharte at 1,985m. The path becomes steeper again here, but it is definitely worth it.

Once you reach the Schusterscharte, turn right towards the first summit, Mittagskogel at 2,092m. Continue towards the Teufelssprung summit at 2,174m. (approx. 25 minutes on foot). From here you can hike to a third summit, the Gamshag at 2,179m. (only a few minutes' walk away).

From Gamshag you then hike down towards Hochtorsee. Here you can take a short break and cool your legs in the lake. On the way back, you can choose the same route as on the way out, or you can do the circular tour and hike below the Tristkogel to the Saaljoch and via the Ossmannalm back to the Lindlingalm.

Ascent to the Gamshag: 2.5 - 3 hours
Total walking time: 5-6 hours
Altitude difference: 1,128m
