Sportgastein scores points due to its location at altitude and its new snow-making facilities, which means it is snow-assured from November right through until late spring. From the piste to the thermal springs in Bad Hofgastein
Winter sportsmen can go straight from the valley station of Schlossalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein to the Alpine thermal springs. The ski run crosses the main road in Gastein via a bridge and takes tired skiers right to the big car-park at the thermal springs.
